JOB CONTENT
1. Role Objective
The O365 & Azure AD operations engineer will be primarily involved in providing level 3 operational support for complex O365 and Azure AD installations. The engineer works in collaboration with management, platform, testing, security and automation teams. The engineer will also be required to engage with Microsoft premier support for escalations.
The ideal candidate will have experience in customer facing roles and worked with implementing, supporting Microsoft Azure, O365 tenants.
2. Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
OPERATIONAL
• Create and manage O365 policies via administrative portals. Configuration, Troubleshooting and support of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, Intune, and Azure Active Directory
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with user access to cloud services.
• Manage Identity Access management of Azure Subscriptions. Implement Microsoft 365 services; manage user identity and roles; manage access and authentication; and plan Office 365 workloads and applications.
• Implement Microsoft 365 security and threat management
• Manage Microsoft 365 governance and compliance.
• Installation and configuration of Intune services
• Maintaining Active Directory Domain Services
• Monitor and communicate to stakeholders the performance of the services.
• Deliver a consistent process for incident and problem escalation along with resolution.
• Assist in the evaluation of new needs, design techniques and standards
• Participate in the definition of standards, procedures, best practices and metrics
• Maintain the documentation regarding configurations, operations and diagnostic procedures for the Microsoft platform
• Perform advanced diagnostics during emergency situations; must be available to work flexible hours

1. Educational Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Accreditations e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate/Expert (Messaging, Desktop, Enterprise Administrator, Teams), Microsoft 365 Identity and Services, Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security, ITIL 4 foundation
2. Skills & Experience:
• At least 3 – 4 years related IT experience.
• Experience in supporting Microsoft Azure and Office 365 in multi-tenant complex scenarios.
• Expertise in Active Directory, including ADFS, AD Connect and Azure AD.
• Expertise in Azure Information Protection and Intune.
• Expertise in Azure AD B2C and Azure AD federation.
• Expertise in Windows Server, Exchange Messaging.
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure and Office 365.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server & Desktop support.
3. Behavioral Skills:
• Strong communication, technical writing, and customer service skills
• Self-starter; ability to work under pressure and prioritize with minimal supervision
• Exhibits the ability to adapt and be flexible within a growing and changing environment
• Checking progress against targets, reporting as necessary and taking action to resolve exceptions
• Multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
• Willing to work in shift during deployments at client location
• Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through.
• Prior work experience in a support position within a software and/or services company.
• Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication.
