Job Description:

This position is responsible for Design and Development of Optical network element simulator to reduce the dependency on the availability of NE hardware/software for rapid and parallel development of Fujitsu Virtuora Network Controller – SDN controller product for Optical transport network for L0/L1/L2 layers providing end-to-end service provisioning, orchestration and network programmability. Responsibilities include analysing requirements, architecture, design, development and maintenance of NE simulator components of Virtuora NC to meet customer requirements using cutting edge technologies.
Candidates for this job should have very strong architectural, analytical, programming skills and be capable of driving features end-to-end, technically lead the team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Skill-sets:

  • 12-18 years’ experience in product development
  • Architected NE simulator development for a carrier grade NMS/EMS product.
  • Expertise in Python, C, Thread programming and Core Java
  • Expertise in inventory, network resource and service modelling using TL1 and Netconf/Yang protocols and or modelling languages
  • Expertise in TCP/IP, UDP protocols
  • Expertise in Socket and IPC programming
  • Expertise in OSGI Karaf bundle application development
  • Expertise in OOAD, Design patterns, UML modelling
  • Expertise in scalability and performance of applications
  • Knowledge of Optical network devices – Transponder/Muxponder/Switchponder
  • Good knowledge in REST API development
  • Good knowledge with databases Oracle/MySQL
  • Experience in at least 2-3 full cycle development of Network Management Systems products
  • Good to have experience in OTN and WDM Service Management
  • Good knowledge in SDN
  • Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, JIRA, Familiar with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Have demonstrated good technical leadership ability, lead end-to-end feature development
  • Have worked in a product company
  • Good communication skills for regular interactions with internal and external teams
  • Exposure to sound software engineering practices/Agile
