JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role, the candidate will require to work and excel in following areas

  • Required to work on projects of medium/High complexity and display excellent programming capabilities using MSBI (SQL, SSIS, SSAS)
  • Evaluate and define functional requirements for DW and BI solutions with Business users
  • Define Data Acquisition and Data Integration Design and logical data models that are globally scalable and reusable across multiple source systems
  • Define Analytic capabilities requirements and design (Dashboards, Scorecards/Performance Management, Ad-Hoc, Slice/Dice, Alerts and Guided Analytics, Search and Text, Prediction and Simulation)
  • Capacity to solve problems, identify options and propose a solution in MS BI technologies
  • Create, execute and document test cases and results
  • Prepare process documentation for all processes. Effectively transition implementation knowledge to support teams
  • Good verbal & written communication skills to interact with the relevant stakeholders
  • Flexibility to work across time zones and diverse cultures and across different technologies.
  • Coordinate with Business Analysts and customers to develop business requirements and specifications documents.
  • Develop standard reports and functional dashboards based on business requirements.
  • Maintain business intelligence models to design, develop and generate both standard and ad-hoc reports.
  • Generate reports for internal and external customers for business performance monitoring and business decision making.
  • Work with Project Manager in developing and executing project plans within assigned schedule and timeline.
  • Manage new report generation and report enhancement based on the change requests.
  • Perform data warehouse design and modelling according to established standards.
  • Determine business intelligence and data warehousing solutions to meet business needs.
  • Ensure to generate and deliver quality reports to customers in timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify and resolve data reporting issues in a timely fashion.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on new or enhanced reports.
  • Guide junior engineers in their duties when needed.
  • Recommend improvements to provide optimum reporting solutions.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (Mandatory)
Proficiency in SQL, SSIS, SSAS
Proficiency and minimum hands on experience of 3 years in end to end MS BI Application
Good verbal & written communication skills to interact with the relevant stakeholders
Flexibility in adapting to new technologies.
Flexibility to work across time zones and diverse cultures
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (Preferred)
Exposure to SharePoint/Script languages Javascript, C#, QlikView would be an advantage.
