Summary
The Software Engineer is a key contributor to a highly visible and mission critical program and is responsible for performing systems analysis, design, build, test and implementation activities to solve a wide range of complex business and technical problems to build out brand new Enterprise Data Warehouse solution. This position is responsible for creating technical specification documents, developing source code and preparing unit / integration test plans in addition to providing on-going production support. Ideally, this position is located in HYD, India, but other location can be considered.
The ideal candidate will possess extremely strong communication skills at both a technical level, and within the varied asset management domain.
Experience & Qualifications
A minimum of 6 years of Software Engineer and System Analysis experienced in an Investment Management Systems and Technology IT environment
A minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant industry experience (active or passive investment management, especially with Investment Performance and Risk domain)
A minimum of 1 years of Markit EDM experience is required
Demonstrated ability to create functional & system requirements by directly interfacing with business users
Ability to understand complex interrelated systems and processing
Exposure to market data providers and analytical solutions like Bloomberg, Factset, POINT etc.
Experience with Business Intelligence Reporting, MATLAB, C# is a plus
A good understanding of Agile (Scrum, DAD, and the like) and CMM Waterfall methodologies
Ability to adapt quickly and easily to changes within the business
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment on larger projects
Excellent organization, planning and time management skills
