The Role Responsibilities
Strategy

  • Awareness and understanding of the Group and country business strategy and model appropriate to the role.

Business

  • Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group or country operates

Processes

  • E2E delivery of credit risk weighted assets through the well-established Moody%26rsquo;s infrastructure
  • Interpreting the Basel II and III models and the way these are configured for Stanchart Group and country reporting
  • Offer analytical insight and actionable intelligence on RWA in order to drive capital optimization
  • Exercise right level of diligence, control and governance to comply with bank%26rsquo;s Data Quality and Reporting Standards including those that are prescribed by the Basel and Regulatory Environment in which the bank operates

  • Have the ability to interpret the Regulatory rules and implement the guidelines such as to comply at every stage of the regulatory developments %26ndash; MAS637, PRA
  • Ensure that the teams collaborate with each other and collectively deliver Capital, Leverage, Capital Adequacy, Pillar III, Operations Risk and credit risk reports to regulator
  • Ensure that the Process Frameworks are kept intact, updating them as appropriate and embedding the right set of controls to manage any potential risks to reporting
  • Define and drive plan of action to make tangible improvements to KPIs and CTQs impacting the stakeholders of the processes managed
  • Reviewing all Regulatory Submissions and ensuring compliance to BCBS 239 Data Standards, Internal Governance, Quality Expectations, Regulatory Expectations

  • Managing excellent relationship through an established engagement model with all stakeholders with %26lsquo;Think Client%26rsquo; Approach
  • Always have an eye for Process Improvements and Innovations with an objective to %26lsquo;Simplify%26rsquo;, while still maintaining the value delivered

  • Proactively engage with transformational and regulatory change programmes to ensure appropriate level of participation in the change initiatives at the right time and to ensure smooth transition into BAU / ensuring regulatory compliance at all times

Risk Management

  • The ability to interpret the Group or country capital reporting information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures

Governance

  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group or country arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group or country operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
