Manager of Integration Architecture and Core Applications

  • Acts as knowledge leader and coordinator for all applications integration points.
  • Coordinates application issues with core applications such as Lawson, SMS, Cerner, Pharmakon, Neon and Softmed
  • Oversees and evaluates the technical impact of all implementation support and upgrade
  • Serves as an integration subject matter expert across Cerner applications and interfaces providing system, process and problem resolution expertise.
  • Plans, oversees and validates the integration of clinical information application analysis, build and testing processes with other clinical and non-clinical applications across the organization.
  • Participates as a member of the project leadership team and leads change management processes for the Cerner application.
  • Coordinates work assignments given in order to meet deadlines and ensure continued progress toward assignment completion.
  • Shares experience and expertise by collaborating with other members of the team.
  • Tracks and reports project status and progress.
  • Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management
  • Works with external support services, vendors and consultants as needed.
  • Meets regularly with users, IS staff and senior members of the team to develop/modify system specifications, including upkeep of documentation
  • Oversees design, development and implementation of custom clinical system enhancements to meet user needs
  • Ensures adherence to structured programming, analysis, and design techniques.
  • Follows software development and version control policies and procedures, including the use of a source code management system.
  • Documents, tests and validates application functionality.
  • Supports the implementation of applications/application upgrades and prepares the appropriate documentation.
  • Identifies potential system problems and proposes ways to avert them.
  • Assists in recommending application solutions to meet business needs.
  • Creates and maintains effective program documentation.
  • Supports Assistant Director in managing the team responsible for delivering the custom application development with the Cerner EMR.
  • Mentors staff analysts and manages their day-to-day workloads related to projects and daily system functions.
  • Coordinates work assignments given in order to meet deadlines and ensure continued progress toward assignment completion.
  • Completes performance evaluations for assigned staff

Qualifications
7 years of experience in management and supervisory practices, skills and concepts with equivalent experience in developing business requirements, business plans and project implementation of major information systems projects with multiple cross disciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administrations or Information Services.
