Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Moon Township, PA facility.
Position Overview:
The Division FP&A Manager has financial planning and reporting responsibility for the $1.1B RWD division within the CRDS Division. The RWD division has international responsibility of the Residential and Wiring Devices businesses with locations in the U.S., Dominican Republic, Mexico, and China. Role responsibilities include forecasting, reactive and proactive analysis of results, presentation to Senior Management, coordination of internal controls and coordination of Sector requests into communication, direction and guidance to 3 Residential Division plant Controllers / finance leads as well as 1 divisions finance lead in WD. The role provides accounting analysis and support to both finance and non-finance personnel. Also responsible for planning and control of the Division ledger with several activity centers in it including R&D, Selling, General Management and various Division restructuring and/or M&A actions, as needed. Takes a lead role in the continuous improvement process within the accounting department. Needs to be well versed with corporate financial policy and procedures and to act as the coordinator of the various accounting activities on a day to day basis.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide financial analysis and assistance to the Division Controller through an in-depth understanding of company accounting policies and practices and business operations.
  • Analyze and determine cause of period to period changes and provide other relevant financial analysis of the business.
  • Must possess an in-depth understanding of the cost accounting, general accounting, and financial planning and forecasting systems.
  • Reports, analyzes, and verifies accuracy of financials. Provide information and assistance to plants within the organization regarding these financials. Assume role of trainer in financial matters, policies, and procedures within the organization.
  • Participates and assists in balance sheet reviews and physical inventories
  • Lead and direct monthly closings and the forecasting process
  • Assist with the preparation of profit plan, strategic plan, operating reviews, and reporting of financial data and analysis
  • Maintain RND project financials and capital spending for the Residential RND Tech Center
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure proper reserves on all accounts
  • Lead and perform special projects as needed
  • Demonstrate a commitment to achieving continuous improvement and total quality in the performance of all assigned duties and around the business
  • Ability to manage both up and down in the organization as the position will be working with and providing guidance / support to the RWD Director of Finance as well as working directly with CRDS Finance

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business and/or Finance from accredited institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or CPA
  • 7 years of accounting and/or finance experience
  • Knowledge of computer systems used by accounting (Oracle financials, ENCORE, Hyperion, Qlikview, Vista, Mentor, Power Bi, Mapics and SAP)
  • Understanding and experience in a US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley environment
  • Experience within the manufacturing industry

  • Strong financial reporting, analysis, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of or quick ability to learn the company’s financial policies and procedure
  • Demonstrated understanding of the workings of the balance sheet, profit and loss, and the inter-relationship between the two.
  • Strong solid knowledge of accounting practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of systems such as payroll, fixed assets, invoicing, order entry, cost improvement and price realization programs.
  • Given the nature of the accounting department, a service and support to the rest of the organization, it is important that the position possess good communication skills, multi-task management skills, and strong creative and analytical skills. Strong organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to monitor the financial process to determine that related systems and processes are operating within control.
  • This position is a departmental leader position that must seek to understand all current responsibilities within the department and facilitate checks and balances for those responsibilities. As a leader must demonstrate educational ability in teaching peers.
