JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Financial and Management information within RB/PvB/WM for China Country. Provide value added financial information and analysis to China RB and PvB segments to support their decision making and strategic development.

JOB PURPOSE:
To ensure the accuracy and integrity of the Financial and Management information within RB/PvB/WM for China Country. Provide value added financial information and analysis to China RB and PvB segments to support their decision making and strategic development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Month – End Closing and Financial Controls:
- Manual entries on accruals, reclassifications, ad-hoc adjustments, and account substantiation. Examples would be including SPPI Fair value adjustments, Accruals and adjustments of income items, preparing Amortization and entries, intercompany accounting. etc
- Ensure robust financial processes in place to report revenue, cost and balance sheet for RB and PvB in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure compliance with Group / IFRS accounting principles and practices, Financial Control policy, and other regulatory accounting guidelines
- Ensure timely and correct submission of financial returns to various internal and external authorities and stakeholders
Report Generation:
- Data preparation for financial and frontline business data for PL and balance sheet
- Cost %26amp; Headcount reporting
- Actual / Forecast output reports
- GCNA Consolidation reporting
- Improve the current reporting including bringing in front office data and financial data.
- Any specific country level reports – including China’s branch reports
Analysis:
- Descriptive type analysis including – variance analysis, margin analysis, and Cost analysis
- Support onshore team in drafting key financial commentaries •

- GCNA RB PvB Business Heads
- China Retail Products Product Heads
- China CFO and Country Finance
- ASA Regional Finance Team
- Group Finance Team
- GFS Chennai Support Team
EXTERNAL:
CONTRIBUTES TO:
- Quality of decision making within the business
- Influences and challenges issues, providing judgement and assessment of impact of proposed actions / activities on performance and strategy
- Uphold the control and compliance culture in the bank
EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- A mature finance profession with relevant experience in financial services industry
- Experienced in corporate banking products, booking models, accounting treatments
- Sound understanding of international accounting standards requirements, business analysis techniques, risk management methodologies, project management techniques
- A high degree of integrity and ability to challenge the views and actions of others in a constructive manner
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Chartered Accountant or MBA with 6+ years of relevant finance experience in FP%26amp;A.
- Effective communication skills, including presenting and influencing senior management.
- Excellent Excel %26amp; PowerPoint skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Solid people and project management skills.
- Relationship and stakeholder management skills is important.
- Initiative and proactive thinking
