Looking for L3 skills in below core technologies, requires skills in one or more of the following areas:
• Operating Systems – RHEL, SUSE, CentOS, Ubuntu
• Virtualization – VMware vSphere, ESXi
• Patching Tools– BigFix, WSUS, SCCM, Ansible, Nessus, Qualys
• Scripting – PowerShell, Python, Salt, batch files, etc.
• Compute – Cisco UCS blade & rack-mount servers, UCS Manager, Dell servers
• PCI Compliance and vulnerability management
• Strong proficiency in web application technologies (Tomcat, Apache, etc.)
• Troubleshooting skills on SMTP gateway, SNMP related monitoring issues
• Experience on SAMBA, SSH, SCP, NFS, CISF, FTP,POSTFIX,SENDMAIL, APACHE
• Strong Knowledge on Red hat OS in both Physical and Virtual Environment
• Should be a core Linux system administrator.
• Scripting knowledge and hands on experience- bash shell/perl/python/expect
• Understanding of ITIL / ITSM with experience in ticketing (Service Now).
• Responsible for analyzing vulnerabilities in PCI compliance report, prepare remediation plan, test, deploy remediation steps
• Coordinate with server owners for application-based vulnerabilities testing and remediation
• Analyze and test monthly patches and document test results
• Responsible for monthly operating system patches installation and upgradation
• Responsible for recovery of servers which failed due to patchingpci remediation
• Responsible for patch management and compliance
• PCI compliance vulnerability remediation testing and execution
• Responsible for VM templates patching and compliance
• Responsible for SOP & MOP documents preparation for critical activities
• Responsible for UCS, ESXI upgrades and firmware management
• Responsible for the development and refinement of operational best practices as it relates to Virtustream Enterprise Cloud platform management & support
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in industry events as appropriate to continue to drive improved methodologies into the organization
• Works with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues
• Assist in the development of automation tools
• Provides appropriate level of support and troubleshooting for incidents across the environment and escalates to next Tier if needed
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without appreciable direction
• Utilizes a variety of internal and external sources to investigate technology, build knowledge, and resolve incidents.
• Review documentation, diagrams, configurations, standard operating procedures, and tools and regularly contributes to internal knowledgebase and departmental documentation.
• Maintains professional demeanor under pressure possessing a can-do attitude, to keep the resolution process moving in a positive direction
• Familiar with VMware infrastructure builds and Management
• Experience in Managing cloud infrastructure services and ability to adopt new technologies
