The Job
As a Lead Software Engineer – Backend, you will be responsible for overseeing a project from designing and developing activities to production and release.
You will be responsible for :
Defining the scope through the launch of a project.
Working cross-functionally with design and technology teams to ensure timely and quality release of product/enhancements.
Architecting, designing, developing and deploying new features for web sites and the back end.
Building efficient, scalable well-designed and high-quality back-end systems.
The Profile
You possess a Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and have at least 1 year experience, ideally within a Software Engineer, Software Architect or Product Manager role.
You possess strong knowledge of React, Redux, Java, Node.js, Python
Expertise in Cloud Computing, Object Oriented Programming/ Design and Web Technologies & Internet Protocols (SOAP, WS-*, ReST, XML, HTTP, TCP/IP) would be highly valuable.
Having experience building highly-available distributed systems on cloud infrastructure is an added advantage.
In addition, exposure to architectural pattern of a large, high-scale web application would be a plus
You are familiar with LINUX operating systems and have a good knowledge of Cloud Databases (eg. AWS, Azure), MySQL and NOSQL Databases (eg. MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch) databases.
You are an excellent team player and can work within tight timelines.
You are detail oriented and produce work of high quality
You have excellent stakeholder management skills.
