This role can be based in Slough, UK.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manage a sales team and own a National Distributor account.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Has sound knowledge of the PD market, trends, key competitors; participates in industry events & networking groups
- Take ownership of one or more of the EWS strategic partners to develop activities to grow the business
- Is commercially astute and has the confidence to manage Eaton’s EWS agreements within the EWS channel
- Drives team to work with defined EWS partners to secure Eaton sales for power distribution and other product lines
- Networks personally to grow meaningful & relevant relationships resulting in effective high, deep and wide stakeholder map
- Ensures strategic account plans are in place with initiatives to drive loyalty via e-trading, expanded share of wallet & product basket
- Forecasts sales accurately to support the SIOP process and ensure stock availability for customers
- Is visible advocate of the marketing push activities such as contractor rewards programme and social media campaigns
- Understands the importance of promoting ‘One Eaton’ drive within the channel to assist with the CSO’s growth plans
- Takes a strategic approach towards channel stockist management in order to reduce the amount of non partners
- Core Sales Skills & Activities
- Executes right actions with results-driven time allocation, focused on priorities needed to secure & exceed the sales targets
- Has own strong relationships with key customer decision makers and influencers
- Drives customer satisfaction, gains customer feedback for what is/isn’t working; works to resolve customer issues
- Accurately forecasts using CRM, SIOP and data analytics on a weekly and monthly basis to help meet and exceed quota
- Has strong commercial, technical & competitor knowledge; also business acumen to make well-informed decisions timely
- Is an ambassador for smart working leveraging sales enablement/digital tools to maximise win rate and sales productivity
- Understands & acts in line with the company’s goals and objectives, leveraging economic drivers
- Actively support the team to build and manage a pipeline of new opportunities over reacting to inbound requests
- Applies creative and lateral thinking to innovate on and find solutions for deal problems
- Understands the product range, the value proposition and key differentiating factors over competitor
- Serves as a role model of company culture, embraces our values and ethics
- Develops, mentors & coaches team incessantly to enable them to become top achievers and future leaders
- Carries out planned 121 coaching sessions using the Eaton tool, and follows up development discussions & actions
- Uses recruitment as an opportunity to raise the bar and hire talent, doesn’t just hire for the vacancy
- Ensures self and team collaborate & and establish networks with Eaton stakeholders to support wider Eaton success
Qualifications
What we are looking for:
- Prior Team management experience is desirable but not essential
- Experience in Power Distribution products, Lighting and Security is preferable.
- Products and Market Knowledge is essential.
- Solid Channel Management experience.
- General IT Skills including CRM
- Sales Mechanics
