Job Description
At Microfocus IT, We are looking for an enthusiastic engineering IT manager who can take up responsibility for provisioning customer focused IT solutions in partnership with other IT teams and ensure delivery of IT projects / programs that support business. This role will require the skills of understanding business needs, shaping strategy and partnering with external software vendors to ensure that delivery commitments are met.
The IT manager function reports to Director of Tech CoE and is mapped under the CIO organisation of Microfocus IT management.
This position willbe inBangalore, India and the executive will work collaboratively with partners in the country to execute statements of work.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or MCA or equivalent. Master’s degree or an MBA is an added advantage.
- At least 10 to 15 years of software development /consulting experience with a minimum of 2 years management or supervisory experience. Experience in IT management and outsourcing is added advantage.
- At least 3 years of experience in implementing SaaS based cloud applications is a must have. We currently do not have on prem applications to manage.
- Technical skillsets: At least 4 years of strong techno functional experience in building integration content using Dell Boomi or related technologies like MuleSoft, Apigee etc
- Experience in building integration solutions for SAS products like Oracle cloud applications, SFDC, Workday, Net Suite etc. is required.
- Knowledge of groovy scripting and Java scripting is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience both leading and developing teams, delivering results in a complex landscape.
- Demonstrable experience working with IT and business leaders to develop strategies and help deploy IT capabilities to support business performance

- Directs, manages, leads, and coordinates the integration of existing and/or new Information Technology solutions according to requirements of one or more business functions and drives digital transformational activities in different geographies.
- Ensures the design, development, delivery, and supportability of solutions for businesses are in accordance with business and IT objectives.
- Understands, articulates, and optimizes application and process capabilities for all business and IT constituents; drives architectural standards and simplification.
Job Functions:
- Accountable for talent development across the team which includes recruitment, ramp up and mentoring of team members
- Accountable for estimations of new requirements, project coordination and driving organizational strategy and transformational activities.
- Provides technical as well as people leadership.
- Applies strong subject matter expertise to manage staff activities in solving complex business/technical issues within established policies.
- Directs and controls activities for business or IT area including one or more disciplines.
- Ensures that systems and applications are highly available and meet or exceed performance expectations and require little to no support.
- Ensures team meets or enables achievement of relevant IT metrics and commitments per IT business goals and objectives.
- Exerts influence beyond the immediate team; demonstrates business acumen and applies it for effective business engagement with internal customers and effective management of programs and initiatives.

- Ability to develop IT development roadmaps with enterprise architecture, assessing customer needs, characterizing competitive advantages and gaps, and building consensus across teams
