International Nurses Day, is celebrated around the world on May 12 every year. This day also marks the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, founder of modern nursing. In 1974 ,International Council of Nurses (ICN) proclaimed that May 12 would be “International Nurse Day.” It highlights the important role played by nurses in fulfilling health care.  They take care of society without thinking about their own health. On International Nurses Day, we recognize and celebrate the incredible contributions of nurses to the healthcare and society. On this day, various events and activities are organized globally to appreciate nurses’ dedication, compassion, and the impact they have on individuals, families, and communities. International Nurses Day not only celebrates the past achievements of nurses but also serves as a reminder of the ongoing need for their expertise, care, and leadership in healthcare systems worldwide.
