Job Description:
Experience on AIX TL Upgrade and AIX Version Migration
Plan and Implement regular OS Patches and Fixes
PowerHA Installation, troubleshooting and Configuration of resources groups and polices
PowerHA Cluster Configuration,design HACMP cluster nodes, Network configuration, configuring disk heart beats, non ip heart beats, Performing failover testing, verification, synchronization
Understanding of booting process, fixing booting issues, re-writing boot records, working with maintenance modes
PowerHA Upgradation
Networking concepts in AIX (Ether channel configuration, Virtual Ethernet etc.)
Good Knowledge on LVM Concepts
Knoweldge on Storage and backup technologies
Configuring NIM Master and performing client installations and NIM Operations
Knowledge on Power7 and Power8 Hardware Servers Installation and Configuraiton
HMC Device Management
Creation of LPARs via HMC and installation of OS
Administration of VIOS, like disk mappings, exposure to SEA, storage pools, Shared processor pools, VSCSI, NPIV etc.
