The Role Responsibilities
Strategy %26amp; Business

  • Asses the technical feasibility of projects and transition states, ensuring overall cohesion of approach as well as identifying implementation risks.
  • Responsible for designing and implementing technology solution architectures across projects and programmes.
  • Define the structure of a system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation.
  • Responsible for designing and validating complex architectures and working with multiple internal and external partners to ensure the successful implementation of the architecture.

Processes

  • Knowledge of all the different aspects of the technical solution, supported by context provided by robust business knowledge.
  • Use techniques such as FMEA, Contract Review Feasibility Analysis, Control Planning etc to identify potential failures and issues and challenge the architecture.
  • Process redefinition and improvement as facilitated by the project delivery
  • Ensuring adherence to Program standards (e.g. progress reporting, risks and issues, change control, configuration management, etc.) across the Work Streams
  • Document management for design activities %26ndash; including interface with IT to ensure architecture docs are accurate

People and Talent

  • Establish strong relationships between the Finance and T%26amp;I Functions to encourage collaborative and transparent working
  • Work extensively with internal and external partners to understand the technology solutions available to the domain, and initiate proofs of concepts with our finance partners.

Governance %26amp; Risk Management

  • Strong governance via senior design forums, and robust documentation and controls
  • Consistent Risk and Issue Management

Regulatory %26amp; Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group%26rsquo;s Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Lead the Architectural Design area to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank%26rsquo;s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years experience with ERP Financial and Enterprise Performance Management business software. Knowledge of SAP S4/HANA, FSDP, Bank Analyser and cloud applications are a definite plus.
  • 5+ years experience in solution architecture.
  • IT degree or equivalent, advanced degree desirable.
  • Understanding of banking Financial and Accounting practices preferred.
  • Understanding of Capital and Liquidity Regulatory Reporting (LCR, NSFR, CFMR, MCO, COREP etc) preferred.
