Eaton’s Power Distribution and Controls Assemblies division is currently seeking a Front Desk Administrator – 1st Shift to join our team. This position is based at our Arden, NC facility.
The Front Desk Administrator will be responsible for providing excellent customer support for the day-to-day customers visiting Eaton as well as employees entering and leaving work. This position will be required to interface with customers and demonstrate a high level of organization and customer coordination to the many daily visitors. Additionally, this position will work closely with all internal function departments (i.e.: Human Resources, EHS, Operations, etc.) when managing weekly coordination of new hires into the organization and properly setting up new hires and contractors with the defined level of facility access.

In this function you will:

  • Provide excellent customer service to plant employees, customer, suppliers, and visitors.
  • Organize and coordinate plant meetings and events as needed.
  • Facilitate/affirm visitor safety training for internal compliance.
  • Maintain new hire data entry into sites time and attendance platform.
  • Be responsible for site management of activating and deactivating employee/contractor facility badge access as directed from HR, EHS and Plant Manager.
  • Facilitate and perform other clerical activities and project tasks as needed.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of three (3) years supporting office administration for a manufacturing facility.
  • Continuous Improvement/Lean Principle awareness.
  • Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance.
  • Excellent verbal and concise written communication skills required.
  • Computer skills (i.e. Microsoft suite, Outlook, etc.).
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Arden, NC facility. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution.

Position Success Criteria:

  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends.
