WWAS Forecasting Manager I (Level 4)

Forecasting manager will help us extract meaning from large volumes of data to make the right business decisions. The candidate will have to set the right vision, strategy and roadmap and work alongside with stakeholders in the organization to make it happen. The candidate knows and loves working with business intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets, and can partner with business leaders to answer key business questions. You are analytical and creative, and you don’t quit. You will also have the opportunity to display your skills in the following areas:
. Prepare summaries of all items and evaluate all volume and forecast patterns.
. Develop and evaluate all forecasts depending on statistical modeling and marketing strategies.
. Analyze and interpret all revenue in its initial stage to ensure better quality of products and services.
. Monitor and ensure completion of projects in coordination with manager.
. Develop upgrade and modeling techniques to improve forecast projections for assign processes.
. Analyze, identify and upgrade metrics to facilitate delivery of forecasts for future project implementation programs.
. Perform regular analysis on various metrics such business seasonality, growth and determine forecast presentation with accuracy.
. Administer inventory required to reach all targets and improve all services and provide excellent forecasts.
. Coordinate with various teams and gather and explain data from multiple sources to formulate future sales forecasts.
. Supervise statistical accuracy of current and future forecasts and make adjustments according to market requirements.
. Prepare an inventory and make future plans for programs for assigned product lines.
. Provide ad hoc forecasts, sales and prepare archive reports as requested to assist management decision.
. Assist to prepare inventory reduction initiatives for assigned product lines and rationalization process for product lines
Basic Qualifications
. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Math, or related discipline.
. 5+ years of relevant work experience in a business analyst/data analyst/statistical analysis role
. Advanced SQL skills, fluent in R and/or Python, advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and analytical platforms
. Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau
. Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner
. Develop and administer goal setting, quota setting, team KPI’s, and measurement for field teams
. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
. Advanced forecast modeling techniques including safety stock optimization and sensitivity analysis
. Experience with business intelligence and data visualization and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau)
. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL, Perl, Unix/Linux, Visual Basic or other programming languages are a plus
. 3-5 years of forecasting, planning, scheduling
. Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
. Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
. 1+ years of experience in financial/business analysis
. Experience with SQL or ETL
