The Team: The Financial Management, Metrics and Analytics team is responsible for the end to end financial processes within the Digital Technology Services organization.
The Impact: This role assists in the finance and accounting functions performed by the Digital Technology Services team on time and in compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities: The Financial Analyst will assist in the finance and accounting activities within the Digital Technology Services organization. Ensures all work practices, processes and procedures for the business comply with the requirements of the jurisdictional rules of the country, SOX and company policies and procedures.
- Assists in the preparation of journal entries, accruals, prepaids, balance sheet reconciliations and reclasses for the organization
- Helps perform the monthly close in accordance with the published corporate schedule
- Aides in the monthly estimate process, performing analysis against prior month actuals
- Tracks Need to Achieves and Variances to BAU engagements
- Identifies issues, risks and opportunities, proposing solutions to management
- Maintains the operational schedules for Assets and Leases across the DTS Organization
- Partners with all DTS Tower Financial Analysts, Accounting COE and other Corporate financial functions
- Uses broader knowledge of financial principles and theories to improve processes
- Adept at problem solving using financial analysis methods and takes a new perspective using existing solutions
- Supports senior finance leaders in data collection needed for annual planning and budgeting purposes
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting experience at a financial or technology firm
- CPA preferred
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely present issues and ideas
- Attentive to accuracy, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns/acts on quality problems
- Extensive Microsoft Excel knowledge and expertise
- Proven design abilities for reports/dashboards in Business Intelligence solutions
- Self-starter and Independent thinker who acts creatively to problem solve.
- Familiar with multiple business functions (Marketing, Product, Finance et al.) and comfortable engaging with various stakeholders
- Passionate about using data to drive business decisions
- Comfortable managing the delivery of high-quality outputs with overlapping deadlines and tight time constraints
