Roles and Responsibilities
- Liaison with the Mfg and Operations organization for support and development requirements related to planning applications
- Analyze existing system requirements and business flows using current systems engineering methods and technologies
- Manage the FP&A System ticket queue, appropriately investigating and resolving issues or assigning to tier 3 IT resources
- Provide a blended technical/business support of FP&A systems that can include pulling and analyzing large volumes of data, understanding back-end database structure, consulting on the integration of applications and reporting tools
- Provide ongoing recommendations for system and process improvements to improve customer experience and drive down ticket volumes
- Support the documentation and testing of new features and functionality
Qualification
- Ability to critically review and interpret technical documentation
- Ability to articulate business rules required for data accuracy and consistency
- Fluency in English as preferred Business language
- Solid business knowledge & commercial acumen
- Sense of urgency
- Excellent analytical & organizational skills
- Strong communication, both verbal and written – this will be essential when working with customers and translating ‘technical’ functionality into explanations for business associates
- Act with the highest level of compliance and integrity with sense of accountability and exhibit Baxter’s Culture Levers: Speed, Simplicity, Courage, Collaboration
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel
- Time Management and ability to prioritize will be key, as there will be periods of high ticket volumes and/or stringent timelines for deliverables
- Strong technical background/experience with SQL, Datastage, Ctrl-M, Hyperion
- Working knowledge of Cognos BI, JDE, and DBMS concepts is highly desirable
Education
- University Degree in Business Administration with a strong technical background or, Technical Degree with a strong business background
- Minimum 3-5 years significant experience in a role that exemplifies the business/technical skills desired.
