Financial Analyst II
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Rackspace Commercial Finance Team has a pivotal role in developing Global Go to Market Strategy, supporting Sales and Service Delivery functions in bringing revenue in the business and maintaining it. With a wide scope of accountability/ownership, you will perform analysis of the relevant financial metrics and work closely with the wider business to understand market trends as well as internal needs. You will take a proactive approach, working with Senior Stakeholders across the business, allowing you to drive change.
Within this team, a Financial Analyst will primarily support Sales across EMEA & APAC. You will be a major contributor to developing the tools and resources to define and implement the Global Commercial Strategy for the INTL region (defined as EMEA and APAC).
Daily tasks include working closely with various commercial and product teams, analyzing and identifying key financial information and trends to advise, drive and influence key commercial decisions.
We are looking for someone who can work under pressure, maintain high standards of deliverables and attention to detail, who thinks in a structured way and is highly analytical. A successful candidate should be able to prioritise and juggle multiple tasks, be curious about technology, willing to learn and should have a very strong understanding of financial concepts.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Key Accountabilities
· Provide guidance to sales and support organizations with regards to the best commercial approach to a specific customer deal / renewal
· Owning full life cycle of small projects
· Build financial models for new product unit economics as well as custom client-specific commercials
· Work with US and APAC Finance teams to ensure a global pricing strategy is defined and implemented consistently throughout geographies
· Help drive profitability through the provision of quality management information and commercial advice
· Constantly improve pricing tools & processes and train sales and support organisations on these
Key Performance Indicators
· Maintain and develop pricing tools and product unit economics
· Ensure that business leaders are taking healthy financial decisions and that the company’s overall financial targets are achieved
· Evaluate profitability and margins for customers through objective and data-driven analysis
· Improve tools enhancing the understanding of financial performance by the business

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
· Bachelors in Business Administration/Finance/Economics
· Masters degree or 1-2 years of relevant working experience highly desirable
· Self-starter that takes ownership of issues and drives them toward a conclusion
· Able to succeed in a fast, high-growth and fairly unstructured work environment
· Ability to dig into details as well as analyse data from a high level view
· Advanced Excel skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal/networking skills.
· Team player with an open and internal customer focused approach
