This Cards, Retail, and Merchant Services (CRMS) expense role will be part of the CRMS Business Finance support team. The future incumbent will support various functions within the CRMS organizations. This position will collaborate with business partners and the finance team on Close/ME and the Forecast and Planning process.

The Finance Sr Analyst role will be responsible for facilitating financial reporting activities for LOB Finance, ensuring appropriate data management, moth end close support, reporting and governance around the expenses management activities. The team member will be responsible to compete month end close activities, ensure data integrity and validations and provide reports in a timely, accurate and complete manner to facilitate best-in-class reporting and provide meaningful information, insights and trends to finance and business managers in LOB teams.

Responsibilities

- Key responsibilities include month-end and quarter-end close reporting processes. There is an expectation the candidate will be focused on transformation, improving processes and adding efficiency to the financial reporting process.
- To provide month end journal support and work closely with the controllers team to get them posted and keep all necessary documentations and supporting for future audit and controls testing.
- To ensure invoicing support and tracking of all the invoices and validations of the same.
- Data management, data integrity and data lineage skills in ensuring appropriate reporting of financials and related metrics/drivers.
- Daily tracking of metrics and key performance indicators – building to weekly and monthly reporting.
- Expertise with Essbase along with SQL skills and query management. Knowledge of SAS, Tableau and data analytics will be added advantage.
- Candidate should have prior experience and expertise around review and modification of financial reports, including both income statement and balance sheet, along with variance analysis to drive value and efficiency.
- Support accounting for data sourcing issues due to org changes and hence, candidate should possess good GL / accounting knowledge.
- Requires extensive data reconciliation & consolidation as well as analysis, additionally coupling the use of scenario and sensitivity analysis to forecast possible outcomes, and use this theoretical information to create key metrics for monitoring
- Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), especially relating to financial metrics, monitor KPI and identify the cause of any unexpected variances
- Performing complex variance and trend analyses communicating and providing guidance to business partners regarding relevant financial policies.
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
- Post graduate in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Candidate must have hands on experience in LOB / segment / product reporting / management reporting / dashboard / presentations / Analytics / commentary.
- Minimum 7-9 years experience in finance or reporting roles, including monthly close, management reporting, Reconciliation & General ledger and good with analysis and commentary skills.
- Preferably should have relevant banking experience with hands on experience in management reporting, forecasting and planning process.
- Candidate should be fairly familiar with the AU/OU/ Hierarchy process, and should also be extremely good at change management and ability to turn around the reports not only with speed, but with high quality, integrated controls and checks.
- Candidate should also have good financial modelling, template building, dashboard and presentation skills as this will really help in transforming the reports to the next level.
- Candidate should have Essbase/Hyperion experience and should be a subject matter expert in data retrievals from different cubes.
- Ability to work both independently and within team environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to perform complex analyses, build financial models, draw conclusions, and communicate recommendations to business leaders.
- Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with critical deadlines.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Macros, Access and Power point.
Desired Qualifications
- Industry experience strongly preferred.
- Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions.
- Must be willing to work in US shift.
