Responsibilities:
- Monthly and Quarterly Finalization of Management Books of Accounts. Ensure timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting.
- Balance Sheet deep dive analysis and maintain overall Accounts Hygiene. Take responsibility for reviewing monthly account schedules of accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, statutory dues, fixed asset activity, inventory, etc.
- Ensure compliance with proper accounting methods, policies and principles including group accounting policies; identify and propose modifications / improvements as needed; develop knowledge throughout the team
- Lead the Annual Finalization of Statutory Books of Accounts. Agree timetables and responsibilities with all involved, with the primary focus being to achieve a clean audit in a in a timely manner.
- Oversee accounting daily operations including review of month-end close entries
- Set up and monitor accounting KPIs on monthly basis
- Develop, foster and maintain effective relationships with all relevant cross-functional stakeholders
- Be proactive in keeping up to date with developments affecting the role and function
Process Improvement & Controls:
Drive process improvement leading to simplification (including automation) and implement simplified and compliant environment:
- Evaluate, develop, and improve department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency
- Drive automation of reports through advanced IT platforms in order to reduce manual process & save time
- Identify and execute areas of process simplification to drive improvement in Bias for Action.
- Partner with consultants / auditors in driving process improvements / audits – ensure that they are relevant and enforceable in the given environment
- Document all important processes using SOPs
- Ensure that all SOPs and Delegation of Authority are complied with – any deviation to the same is properly evaluated and corrective actions initiated
Team development:

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant with 8 or more years of post-qualification experience;
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Well versed with U.S. GAAP, IFRS, IND AS & Companies Act;
- Experience in end to end management and responsibility of Statutory Audit. Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and techniques;
- Advanced work experience and proficiency in SAP. Working knowledge of Oracle and Hyperion Financial Management will be preferred.
- Advanced work experience preparing financial reports and report writing expertise.
