Job Description: JOB OBJECTIVE
This role is responsible for leading the accounts function for the Medical Department which represents half of the projects of HSP.
This role reports to the Finance Head and assists him/her on matters related to planning, budgeting, and monitoring all financial activities including accounting, financial forecasting, and controllership.
The successful candidate will play an important part in ensuring that organization’s finances are in line with internal policies and statutory requirements and to keep aligned with the requirements of our funding partner, German Doctors.
ROLE OF THE DEPARTMENT
The Finance Department will be responsible for overseeing financial project management as well as general financial administration.
This department will broadly ensure accounting and maintaining relevant records, internal control and compliance on all financial activities, planning and preparing accurate budget, and communicate financial reporting to Governing Body for productive decision making on financial matters.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain and update books of accounts- update in tally, Cash book, ledger and other accounting procedures.
• Prepare monthly financial reports.
• Maintain petty cash.
• Responsible for daily transactions.
• Preparation of weekly Bank Reconciliation Statement.
• Finalize accounts and coordinate with Finance In charge and statutory auditor
• Prepare Annual Plan and Budgets with Coordinators, Finance In charge and respective staff.
• Co-ordinate with funding agency in financial matters
• Assist Finance In charge for FCRA and IT return timely • Have a very good control over the budget
• Any other tasks as per requirement of project.

• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Budgeting & Auditing principles
• Knowledge of tax and regulatory compliance
• Proficiency in preparing statements
• Data query/management abilities

• High level of proficiency in Excel.

• Graduation in Commerce (Mandatory)
• M.Com (Optional)
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION (Optional)
• Chartered Accountant
EXPERIENCE
• Prior experience in finance role with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
• Has experience of working in development sector with international client
