About this position:
The ‘F&S’ team (Finance & Strategy) is the global promoter for smart growth, driving financial performance, business accountability, insight to optimize decisions, and shareholder success. The primary role of the Finance Director is to provide extensive business partnering and financial support to the Go-to-Market Organization. This individual will be the Finance Business partner to, and a core member of, the India leadership team, a cross-functional team chartered with delivering customer success for a key growth region. In this highly visible and influential role, the Director will bring financial expertise, in-depth knowledge of Finance processes and external best practices, and a bias for action to the operations of Salesforce India region. This role will also work cross-functionally within Finance, bringing the right experts and teams together to maximize the impact the Finance Organization has on the region. The ideal candidate must enjoy working in a fast pace and changing environment, adept at operating both at a strategic and tactical level. The role will report to the Sr Director, F&S, APAC, and will operate in a matrixed team, leading the partnership with the APAC CoE and managing support from additional resources as required.
Office Location: Mumbai, India.
Responsibilities:
- Be an active participant to the overall vision, and execution of the APAC Finance & Strategy Team, in tight partnership with the APAC Center of Excellence team.
- Act as the Finance representative on the India Leadership Team. Work across regions (APAC, International, HQ) to share best practices and influence company planning.
- Work with the India Leadership Team to establish the financial goals for the region and measure progress throughout the year, highlighting finance recommendations on course of action, including providing a decision framework for optimizing resource allocations in a fast-paced environment.
- A focus on analyzing the metrics that drive the business (KPIs)
- Own budget and forecast cycles for all India functional areas. Work closely with other Regional Finance Teams for seamless processes and consistent communication.
- Actively contribute to an inclusive and diverse work environment that promotes teamwork, recognition, mutual respect, constructive feedback, and employee satisfaction
Required Skills:
- Relevant work experience in Finance Business/Commercial partnership roles.
- Tech industry experience is highly valued, however, the relevant commercial partnership experience and proven ability to influence outcomes in business is critical.
- Strong communicator, with ability to present to, and partner with, C-level executives.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, successfully applying this skillset to the business context.
- Strong people management skills with a proven track record of building and scaling teams, managing through others in a highly matrixed organisation, and the ability to influence.
- Experience partnering with Sales & Marketing organizations to build a go-to-market investment plan.
- Previously led business transformation through process and system (IT) innovation.
- Past experience working in a dynamic, high-growth company where adaptability is imperative
- Demonstrated success in driving both strategic and operational activities.
- Exceptional relationship-building skills demonstrated by ability to grow and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders
- Four year university degree in finance, economics or other relevant disciplines. MBA or CPA/CA preferred
