Position Summary:
Software engineer, who is responsible for the product development (on invehicle network protocols and technologies) with quality and by following the engineering practices. The candidate should be a team player who should be able to code, do the peer code review, defect fixes wherever needed on the existing product and also takes the responsibility in porting the existing product to a new platform.

Job Responsibilities:
- Uses Agile Scrum Methodology for software development.
- Develops unit tests for all new code
- Has all code changes peer reviewed, and must peer review code when required
- Provides input for documentation of new or existing programs
- Ability to refine requirements and solve problems
- Developing and improving solutions(including bug fixes) to problem
- Performs technical research, monitors current trends and changes in technology
- Demonstrates industry knowledge to assist in new product development
- Experience on working with CAN and LIN protocols and related tools
- Basic Qualifications: List the minimum and desired education (including degrees, licenses, certification or registrations) and experience needed to perform the key responsibilities of the position.
- B-Tech/BE, 3 years or more experience in embedded software.
- Expertise in C and C++, fluent in concepts of Design Patterns.
- Should have exposure to UML, should be able to understand UML diagrams and contribute to UML based designs.
- Strong in RTOS concepts and good proficiency in real time multi-threaded software design and development.
- Experience with AUTOSAR or OSEK preferred.
- Good knowledge of embedded system architecture, Peripherals like I2C, I2S, SPI, UART etc
- Should have prior experience on developing software for ARM Cortex based SOCs such as OMAP, i.MX, Jacinto. Should have a good understanding of internals of these processors
- Additionally, experience with development of software for Microcontrollers such as V850 Family, SH2 Family is highly desirable.
- Should be flexible to develop software on both Complex ARM based SoCs and Automotive MCUs like V850
- Should have exceptional debugging skills using both JTAG based, post-mortem debug using GDB or similar debuggers etc.
- Should be fluent in reading/understanding hardware block diagrams and schematics
- Should be fluent in using test and measurement equipment like Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers
- Experience in driver development for embedded devices is desirable
- Experience with embedded application firmware development
- Should be able to work independently, contribute to requirements reviews, analysis of customer change requests, analysis of existing designs and also development of new designs in the field of Systems Design/Development
- Development of Network Operating systems of vendor stack (i.e, VECTOR)
- Integration experience vendor component stack (preferably VECTOR) to IVI specific application
- Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
- Review code and design
- Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
- Support software QA and optimise I/O performance
- Interface with hardware design and development
