East Central Railway Recruitment under Scout & Guide Quota 2017

East Central Railway, Hajipur invites Applications from eligible Indian Nationals for recruitment post of Group C and D posts in Headquarter and divisions of E.C.Railway for Recruitment against Scout & Guide Quota of 2017-18. The last date for receipt of applications is 9th October 2017.

Recruitment under Scout & Guide Quota for the year 2017-18 – CENTRALIZED NOTIFICATION NO. ECR/HRD/RECTT/SCOUT & GUIDE QUOTA/2017-18

Age Limit: Group C – 18 to 28 Years; Group D – 18 to 31 Years (as on 01/01/2018). Upper age relaxation of 05 years for SC/ST, 03 years for OBC and 10 years for Physically Challenged Persons.

Minimum Qualification:

(a) For Group ‘C’ –> Matric with a 12th pass with 50% marks or its equivalent or higher education.

(b) For Group ‘D’ -> 10th Pass from Recognized Board plus National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or 10th Class with ITI or Minimum 10th Pass.

Scout & Guide Requirements:

(a) A President’s Scout/ Guide/ Ranger/ Rover (OR) Himalayan Wood Badge Holder in any section.
(b) Should have been an active member of Scouts Organization for the last 05 years.
(c) Should have attended at least Two events at National Level and (OR) All Indian Railway’s Level (AND) Two events at State Level.

Examination Fee: The examination fee to be paid through Indian Postal Order will be ₹ 500/- for General and OBC Candidates; ₹ 250/- for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex- servicemen/ Persons with 40% or above Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes [Refund of the same amount will be made to those candidates].

Selection Process: Written Test (50 Marks), Scouting Skill Assessment (10 Marks), Marks on certificates (40 Marks).

How To Apply: The prescribed application format should be neatly typed or handwritten either in Hindi or in English with one recent passport size photograph in full Scout / Guide uniform duly signed to be pasted on the application form.

Candidates should send the application to GENERAL MANAGER (PERSONNEL), RECRUITMENT SECTION, E.C.RAILWAY HEADQUARTER OFFICE, HAJIPUR, DISTT.- VAISHALI. BIHAR. PIN-844101 by ordinary post so as to reach on/before the last date mentioned above. The candidate may drop the application in the drop-box provided for the purpose in the Each Central Railway Headquarter Officer up to 18.00 Hrs. on or before the last date.

The Candidate may apply for Group ‘C’ posts (Grade Pay – ₹ 1900) and/or erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts (Grade Pay – ₹ 1800). Candidates are advised to send separate application for Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts. Application for Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts in a single Application will be rejected for both categories.

The following enclosures should be attached with the application:-

(a) Two recent passport size photographs in full Scout/Guide uniform duly signed on the back of them should be clipped along with the application form.
(b) Indian Postal Order of prescribed amount (in favor of ‘FA&CAO, East Central Railway’ payable at Hajipur).
(c) Necessary proof for claiming fee refund.
(d) Xerox copy of certificates attested by Gazetted Officer/Self Attested in support of age, Educational Qualification and participation certificate in Scout & Guide activities for their eligibility.
(e) Xerox copy of Caste Certificate attested by Gazetted Officer/Self Attested in case of SC/ST candidates. For OBC candidates, current non-creamy layer certificate (valid for Central Government Service) issued by the competent authority should be enclosed.

The envelope containing the application with all enclosures should clearly be indicated “Application against Scout & Guide Quota”, “Employment Notice No.” and “Grade Pay” on the top of the envelope.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 09/10/2017. Closing Date for applicants of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, J&K, Andaman & Nicobar & Lakshadweep islands, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh and candidates residing abroad – 24/10/2017.
