DSSSB MTS Recruitment 2024 Overview

DSSSB is inviting online applications for the recruitment of 567 Multi Tasking Staff from 8th February 2024. Following is an overview regarding the 567 vacancies DSSSB has notified across various departments. It further has given details of the number of vacancies in different categories which can be seen in the official notification. Out of all the departments, the Women and Child Development Department holds the highest number of vacancies. i.e. 194. 

DSSSB MTS Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board has laid down some eligibility criteria for those who wish to apply for the MTS post in 2024. A candidate must check whether he/she meets the criteria to appear for the examination. These are divided into Educational qualifications and Age criteria.

Educational Qualification

To be eligible to appear in the MTS examination, the applicant must have completed their 10th standard or intermediate from a recognized board or institution. If a candidate fails to meet this, his/her application will not be considered.

Age Criteria

The minimum and maximum age criteria for this post are 18 and 27 years respectively. However, age relaxation will be provided to the candidates who belong to the reserved categories according to government-set norms. An overview of the age relaxation across various categories is as follows:

DSSSB MTS Salary Structure 2024

The DSSSB MTS post falls in the Level-01 of the 7th Pay Matrix. The basic pay of DSSSB MTS is based on the pay scale of INR 18,000 – 56,900/-. DSSSB MTS Recruitment 2024 Application Fee

The fee to apply for DSSSB MTS is Rs. 100. The SC/ST, PWD, and Ex-Serviceman candidates can apply for the post free of cost. The payment can be made online using a debit card, credit card, or net banking.

DSSSB MTS Recruitment 2024 Selection Process

 The DSSSB MTS Recruitment process 2024 is of 3 stages. These are the written exam, the skill or typing test, and the document verification stage. All three stages are equally important for a candidate. Let’s take a look at the nature of each stage.

1. Written Examination: This level checks the knowledge and aptitude of the candidate which is a good parameter to decide whether he/she is suitable for the post.
2. Skill or Typing Test: After clearing the written examination, candidates will be required to go through a skill or typing test according to different departments’ requirements.
3. Document Verification: When candidates clear both levels of the exam, they are required to go through a verification process to confirm their eligibility and qualifications.

The final merit list is prepared according to the performance of the candidates in all the 3 levels of the recruitment process.

DSSSB MTS Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2024

The first stage of the DSSSB MTS recruitment process is a written exam and this exam consists of 5 sections. Each section consists of 20 questions and each question carries 1 mark. The candidates must familiarize themselves with the exam pattern so that they can plan their preparation accordingly and score well in the exam. The detailed notification of the exam is yet to be released. However, according to the exam structure provided and the pattern of previous year’s papers, we can expect

• General Awareness- History, Polity, Science, Geography, Economics, Static GK and Current Affairs
• General Intelligence/Reasoning ability- Syllogism, Analogies, Blod relation, Direction Test, number series, decision making, problem-solving, seating arrangement, etc.
• Arithmetical and Numerical Ability- Number System, Percentage, Profit Loss, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Simple Interest, Compound Interest, Mensuration, Data Interpretation, etc.
• Hindi Language and Comprehension- Grammar, Vocabulary, and comprehension
• English Language and comprehension- Grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
