DFCCIL Exam Pattern 2023: Computer-Based Test(Stage 1)
The exam pattern for Computer based test Stage 1 is briefly discussed below.
- Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions.
- Time Duration: 90 minutes
- No. of questions: 100
- There is a Negative Marking of 1/4th mark
- The question paper will be set in both English and Hindi.
- 1st stage of CBT will be screening in nature.
- The score of 1st stage will be used only for shortlisting the candidates for 2nd stage of CBT.

DFCCIL Exam Pattern 2023: Computer-Based Test(Stage 2)
- Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions.
- No. of questions:Â 120
- Time Duration: 120 minutes and 160 minutes for PwD candidates.
- There is a Negative Marking of 1/4th mark
- The question paper will be set in both English and Hindi.

Computer-Based Aptitude Test
- The candidates need to secure a minimum T-Score of 42 marks in each of the test batteries to qualify. This applies to all candidates irrespective of community or category i.e. irrespective of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD/Ex-SM and no relaxation in the minimum T-Score is permissible.
- Candidates will have to qualify in each of the test batteries of CBAT for considering them for the post of Executive (Operations & BD).
- The CBAT shall have question-and-answer options only in English and Hindi.
- There shall be no negative marking in CBAT.
- The final Merit List of Executive (Operations & Business Development) category will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the CBAT, with 70% weightage for the marks obtained in the 2nd stage CBT and 30% weightage for the marks obtained in CBAT.
- ) PwBD candidates are exempted from appearing in CBAT and their Final Merit will be decided based on marks obtained in 2nd Stage CBT only.
Document Verification
- Based on candidates’ merit in 2nd stage CBT and CBAT shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of the original documents according to merit, availability of vacancies, and reservation rules.
- During document verification, the candidates will have to produce their original certificates along with one set of photocopies duly attested. No additional time will be given and the candidature of candidates for not producing their original certificates/testimonials on the date of verification is liable to be forfeited.
Medical Test
- Medical standards as prescribed in Indian Railway Medical Manual Vol.-I, which can be accessed at www.indianrailways.gov.in.
- Candidates must ensure that they fulfill the prescribed Medical Standards for the post(s) they are opting for. Candidates who are found medically unsuitable for the opted post(s) shall not be given any alternative appointment.
