JD:
• HADR, DPF setup, Range Partition tables and maintenance.
• Performance tuning of databases.
• Production Support Responsibilities
• Creating Partition tables in different database partitions
• Purging tables and releasing space in the File Systems without any downtime.
• Running all Online and Standalone IBM utilities i.e.
• Unloading, loading and reorg etc.
• And collecting statistics for the processes
• Restoring the Backup images using Redirect Restore method from source to destination.
• Applying changes on databases as per policy.
• DB2 UDB performance utilities like db2diag.log, db2pd, db2top and db2advis.
• Database admin including Backup, recovery and installation of Database DB2 Databases and configuring instances.
• Automation using shell scripting e.g. Automatic backups, partition addition in partitioned tables.
• Increasing and decreasing tablespace s using alter tablespace command. Also, adding new containers to existing tablespace.
• Using snapshots.
• Performance optimization and SQL tuning by db2advis, db2explain, also by tuning OS.
• Involved with the development team, and resolving problems related to the database privileges.
• Troubleshooting for various real time issues.
• Expertise in creating Instances, DB2 databases, bufferpools, tablespaces as per the requirement.
• Strong knowledge on maintaining Database Level (DB CFG) and Database Manager Level (DBM CFG) Parameters.
• Monitoring archive mount points and data mount points.
• Generating data definition language using DB2LOOK command from database.
• Rich experience with DB2 UDB 9.1, 9.5, 9.7 and 10.1 Installations, Configurations, Administration and Migration (V10.5.5 to 10.5.10).
• Mentoring new members of the team and always looking out for something new and challenging.
• Well versed with Change management and Incident management of ITIL
