Credit Portfolio Analyst
Introduction:
This role is for a Credit Risk Analyst in the Private Bank Portfolio Risk team.
What will you be doing
- Monitor and manage mortgage Mandate and Scale (M&S) measures
- Support regular portfolio reviews of credit products and segments
- Monitor emerging trends and risks within the credit portfolio (i.e. flow measures, watch list, impairment, house price indexes, etc.) enabling them to be transparently understood and managed by the Head of Portfolio Risk and senior leaders
- Monitor changes to relevant Group Credit Risk Policies and Standards that impact the credit portfolio, including potentially regulatory driven changes, and support any required remediation action
- Support the management of Dispensations, Waivers and Breaches of Group Credit Risk policy and standards as regards to the credit portfolio
- Effective and value added insights on the credit portfolios, to support risk management decisions
- Monitor changes in the environment/market and business and proactively manage any changes to the Credit Risk outlook
- Support continuous improvement of credit risk management information, metrics and reporting
- Support special projects including (i) credit risk systems change/enhancement, (ii) credit risk reporting automation/self-service, and (iii) change/enhancement to credit risk tools, processes and models.
- Support the management of the Private Bank Credit Risk Management Forum and other Portfolio Risk governance forums
- Adhoc support for the Head of Portfolio Risk
What we’re looking for:
- Credit risk and financial analysis skills
- Proven ability to influence and manage stakeholders across multiple teams and regions
- Ability to write high quality, clear and concise credit papers
- Ability to build strong relationships with the Front Office, Risk, Functions and Technology
Skills that will help you in the Role:
- Degree qualified
- Experience querying relational databases using SQL.
- Experience in Wealth/Private Banking
- Experience in Credit Risk
- Familiarity with mortgages and security backed lending (lombard lending)
