Job description:
Job Summary: Responsible for income tax accounting for international assignments and detailed process execution; execute timely delivery across a complex global organizational structure Support the enforcement of financial positions in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley, Accenture policies, and US GAAP, and implementation of accounting procedures at country levels in line with a global model for international assignments Develop knowledge and understanding of performance metrics and strive to meet and exceed them. Communicate and display an understanding of principles and policies regarding general ledger, cross border finance accounting, international assignment agreement, and expatriate tax matters Develop in-depth knowledge of tools and applications supporting Cross Border Finance accounting process, financial management, and compliance activities Cross-team collaboration with People Mobility, Employee Tax & Immigration, and Finance functions
Key Responsibilities: Processing of general ledger activities within pre-defined service levels including tax and relocations accruals, tax payments, intercompany transactions, and tax receivables Reconciling and analyzing the select balance sheet and expense accounts to manage income tax and relocation expenses associated with international travel Develop an understanding of the internal systems and business transactions that impact accounts Execute and review performance metrics to deliver high-quality financial services Responsible for providing accurate reporting and consolidation of accounting results Responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate completion and tracking of income tax true-ups Receivables management for Tax Equalization Settlements – recording, reversal, reclassifying receipts from the cash account, monthly reconciliation, and aging review Ensure all tax accounting issues are properly analyzed, supported, and documented Perform analytical pre and post-close review to ensure accounts are fairly stated Conduct balance sheet reviews and quarterly reporting of aging balances Conduct detailed analysis and risk review; minimize financial exposure and collaborate to maximize contract profitability with a focus on taxes charged to client engagements for international assignments Reconciliation of Global Transfer Finance sub-ledger to the general ledger for all employee tax deductions and payments Support development, maintenance, and testing of tools used to manage cross border financial services Deliver ad-hoc requests for analysis and information as required Responding to service request inquiries; liaise with customers, build, and maintain relationships Work with other financial functions to resolve issues in a timely manner Work collaboratively to deploy accounting requirements, reporting and controls for emerging economies and changes in local country tax legislation Support external and internal financial audits on an as-needed basis to provide supporting documentation, knowledge about underlying processes, analysis, etc. Work closely with new business joint ventures/acquisitions to support finance integration activities, proper accounting set-up, entity restructuring, and/or entity liquidation Support continuous improvement efforts for processes, tools, metrics, training, and participate in special/global projects
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
Working knowledge of general U.S. GAAP accounting principles Ability to team & communicate effectively with finance and tax teams across different cultures and at all levels of management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong customer service skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Understanding of Accenture’s business strategy, objectives, and organizational structure Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Knowledge of Accenture applications (SAP) plus role-specific tools (GTF, People Mobility Gateway)Ability to pay attention to detail essential Strong organizational abilities Ability to work to tight deadlines and multitask
Education: University degree or equivalent higher education qualification and professional finance qualification preferred, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA , etc.
