BUSINESS UNIT OVERVIEW
The Divisional Risk Management Team is responsible for oversight over all risks incumbent in Controllers including vendor, entitlements (segregation of duties), resiliency (BCP), data risk management (including exception based approvals and on boarding requirements) and self-service tool governance

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Job Responsibilities

  • Drive ongoing governance initiatives to meet policy and audit standards for the Controllers division of the firm globally
  • Support in coordinating Steering Council and Working group meetings to ensure proper transparency to divisions
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Vendor Management to build infrastructure to identify platform usage and ensure control implementation
  • Support in creating formal framework with Tech Risk to ensure appropriate oversight and review of control infrastructure and platform classification
  • Provide assistance in monitoring division’s information risk posture, providing management with transparency with the help of management reports/ dashboards
  • Support the governance of agreed upon recurring rules and processes on a defined frequency
  • Liaise with business managers to develop risk remediation plans and advise on control options
  • Provide oversight on Controller usage of self-service tooling
  • Perform exception based responsibilities as a part of Data Risk Management

General Experience/Skills

  • Proficient in Tableau or equivalent BI tools
  • Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions.
  • Excellentinterpersonal and communication skills both written and oral confident in interaction with all levels of employees
  • Detailed-oriented, self-motivated and organized. Able to multi task varying priorities and deliverables
  • Experience defining governance roadmap – identifying KRIs, defining KPIs and leading the control implementation.
  • Demonstrable foresight in defining control landscape
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, make tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new idea with engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Visio, Powerpoint and Sharepoint

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience in driving governance initiatives
  • Experience effectively managing cross functional teams and resources that do not have a direct reporting relationship
  • Experience in FinTech domain, and understanding of Controllers business would be an added advantage.
