REVENUE RECOGNITION Senior Manager/Director
The JAPAC Revenue Recognition team is a group of highly motivated professionals who leverage their specialist knowledge and expertise to enable Oracle%26rsquo;s business leaders execute deals which maximize Oracle%26rsquo;s revenues across multiple pillars (software, hardware, cloud %26amp; various services), while applying the highest degree of compliance with internal and external accounting policies.
Managing a team of revenue recognition analysts in Bangalore, your focus will be to ensure that all revenues are recognized in accordance within the framework of Oracle%26rsquo;s Revenue Recognition policies and relevant accounting framework (ASC 606), thereby ensuring all revenue allocations and adjustments are recorded accurately and timely. In addition, you will be working closely with various stakeholders (e.g. Deal Management, Business Practices, Legal, Sales) in resolving revenue related queries and providing support on deal structuring.
Location is Bangalore, India.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of analysts that reviews executed arrangements for compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (ASC 606) and Oracle%26rsquo;s Revenue Recognition and other corporate policies
- Ensure all revenue allocations/adjustments are accounted for accurately and timely, and duly communicated to relevant stakeholders to facilitate in their accurate forecasting of revenues
- Deliver and execute operational plans that deliver business results
- Identify, develop and establish relationships with key stakeholders such as Sales, Finance, Deal – Management and Legal organizations
- Maintain an up to date and thorough knowledge of the technical accounting policies, including Oracle%26rsquo;s internal Revenue Recognition Policy
- Lead or assist in global projects across various Revenue Recognition teams/functions
- Cross-team partnering within the Global Revenue Recognition Org to ensure consistent application of revenue accounting
PERSONAL SKILLS
- Minimum of 8 years industry and/or public accounting experience
- Demonstrate strong influencing, decision making and problem solving skills

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Finance/Accounting Qualification
- US GAAP ASC 985-605/ASC 606 experience is desirable

Oversees the development of financial accounting systems needed to maintain reporting specifications. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of accounting. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.
