Position Overview!
Sr. Database Administrator and Developer critical role within Marketing Platform team, aligning into Cloud Tech Business Unit. The engineer is expected to take accountability of all technical deliveries related to Business Content Platform, Outbound Communications and related areas; developed using Oracle, Postgres, Snowflake, Analytics in conjunction with Adobe Campaign. The Lead Developer would be responsible to Solution, Design, Develop, and Deliver world class quality code in Database platform!Job Description:
Install/upgrade, administer, design, create, secure, operate, manage, plan capacity, deploy and write code for Databases. Designing for high availability, scalability, manage large transactions, fine tuning I/O systems, replication, manage failover, write Stored Procedures, Triggers, Jobs, Scripts, services, in optimal way. Should have worked with large scale DBs, with an Application or Web layer in the front and should have ability to solve issues around concurrency, load, deadlocks, and experience around both reads and write transactions. You must create and tune indexes.
You will be further involved in designing platform, Analytics, configuring with multiple other platforms, and system level troubleshooting (Linux, Windows, AWS) in addition to DBA and Developer roles.Required Skills/Experience:
10+ years of DBA expertise – [ Oracle Postgres Snowflake ]Must have experience in DB hosting, Preferably Cloud based.
Any skills set around Data mining & Analytics would be a great benefitMap out the conceptual design for a planned database
Refine the logical design so that it can be translated into a specific data model
Should be able to analyse the physical design to meet system storage requirements
Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database & develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly with relevant monitoring tools.
Communicate regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and securityExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to self-manage time, manage workload, multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Education: Any graduation or post-graduation is fine. Computer Science Engineer is preferred
