Job Title Cloud Architect
JOB CONTENT
1. Role Objective
Responsible for the overall vision of what the solution will consist of once it is in Azure, as well as building out the migration plan. They are typically the go-to-resource for helping the customer to understand the tradeoffs of the approach to migrating or modernizing workloads as well as setting up the target Azure environment with appropriate controls for governance.
The Cloud Architect in collaboration with the Architecture team, Delivery team and IT partners works in the planning, migration and delivery of Microsoft based technologies on multiple projects for our customers.
The Cloud Architect plays a leading role in scheduling installation work, liaising with all concerned to ensure that installation priorities are met and disruption to the customer is minimized.
2. Detailed Roles and Responsibilities:
OPERATIONAL
• The Cloud Architect will drive high-priority customer initiatives in collaboration with customers.
• The Cloud Architect is a technical, customer-facing role that is accountable for the end-to-end customer cloud deployment experience.
• Cloud Architects own the Azure technical customer engagement, including: architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or proofs of concepts.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture design discussions with senior customer executives to drive cloud deployment.

1. Educational Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Accreditations e.g. Azure Expert Solution Architect, ITIL foundation
2. Skills & Experience:
• 5+ years of architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications (i.e. having an architectural sense for ensuring availability, reliability, etc.).
• 2+ years of experience in migrating on premise workloads to the cloud.
• 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects).
• Oversight experience on major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams.
