As or business grows and becomes more complex, it is critical for us to mine data & identify insights which benefits our advertising portfolio and help position it effectively. We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the sales and business development team who will interface with the business teams, product managers and senior management, to facilitate data driven decisions about our customers, our advertisers, and our business.
Specifically, in this role you’ll create the reports that we use to run our business, generate the reports on a timely basis, interpret them to identify key insights, and define & track key metrics. You’ll analyze our product performance, identify new trends and communicate key drivers and recommendations to other leaders in Amazon. You will not only become an expert at using internal data systems, but also develop close working relationships with data platforms teams and data engineers, in order to acquire the best available data and improve data systems. To do this, this person needs to be extremely hands on, have a deep understanding of Amazon’s advertising products, technical/operational capabilities, as well as the ability to synthe analysis into a concise and compelling presentation.
You’ll need the ability to turn data into insights. This means you should have expertise in data analysis tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau or statistical packages, and also possess a strong understanding of data collection processes and data management systems. The ability to build Tableau based tools for internal use to save time and effort is an important requirement.
You will also be required to clearly communicate with managers and associates at all levels.
This position is based at the Amazon India headquarters in Bangalore.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
. 3+ years relevant experience in financial/business analysis
. Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
. Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
. Experience with SQL
. Experience in Excel
Strong knowledge of Tableau and an ability to build out tools with Tableau.
Knowledge of integrating SQL/Tableau output into Excel macros and PPTs will be an added advantage.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5-7 years experience in a business intelligence role working with SQL, Tableau and other visualization tools
