Business Analyst

  • Able to confidently demonstrate processes and methodologies to senior management, up to Director levels
  • Presenting complex solutions, strategies, methods in simple terms for other teams to understand
  • Co-ordinating workloadsacross multiple data streams
  • Working with Business stakeholders to obtain requirements for all of the services of CDS
  • Be a face to the stake holders for any requirement discussions
  • Contribute to FDD for new or enhanced IT services to a high level of quality.
  • Providing functional support to project managers and both Technical teams.
  • Participating in in-depth awareness of relevant functionality around the components, with the aim of providing assistance to support their assignment area.
  • Contribute to the Stage-0, Stage-1 and Stage-2 estimates for the functional Work and feed this back to the PM/technical team
  • Promote Agile ways of working across all CDS delivery teams

What will you be doing

  • Own and manage requirement related aspects of the change delivery life cycle from inception, solution design through to implementation and post implementation support.
  • Work in-line with overall Barclays strategy across Technology delivery and Business operations change
  • Identify and quantify all business design and analysis related activity on change projects
  • Identify, analyse, manage and monitor relationships with and between stakeholders.
  • Requirements elicitation and documentation, using User Stories and Use Case Diagrams
  • End-to-end requirements management and traceability, both functional and non-functional
  • Impact analysis, both business and technical, working closely with architects and solution designers
  • Coordination of and hands-on assistance with different testing phases including User Acceptance Testing and Live proving
  • Work as a liaison among project stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate features for new functionality. Serves as the SME for business and functional domain knowledge; working closely with the Product Owner
  • Create, groom and maintain the project feature and story backlog in addition to any changes to those requirements. Participates in joint design sessions to groom and document features and stories. Create feature and story backlogs that are clear and straightforward.
  • Manage end-to-end requirement & requirement delivery quality of high complexity, drawing on analytical skills to ensure the excellent execution across multi-discipline platform teams
  • Support broad conceptual technical solutions, drawing upon expertise within the team and working closely with the Enterprise, Data and Solutions Architects
  • Provide expertise and continuity across both the business solution and technical solution

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of stakeholders

  • Uses graphics in order to make complex or abstract concepts simple to understand.
  • Fluent in English.

Control

  • Has working knowledge of governance & control techniques:
  • Experienced in working with the design authority for a project and supporting architecture sign-off for project level component deliverables
  • Ensures governance, risk and control procedures are followed.

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Able to demonstrate previous evidence of drive, energy, commitment, and enthusiasm.
  • The candidate ideally will have experience in banking applications and infrastructure, with an understanding of service management.

• Exposure to Product Owner roles and responsibilities

  • Technical knowledge will be a benefit to assist with data analysis
