Selection Process in BIS

Assistant, Technical Assistant & Sr. Technician
The posts of Technical Assistant (Laboratory) and Assistant (Computer-Aided Design) are of Graduate Level, while the Senior Technician post is of Matriculate Level. BIS Syllabus for All Other Posts
The common syllabus for BIS Recruitment 2024 includes four subjects viz. General Intelligence &
Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language, and General Awareness. This syllabus is similar to most of the major competitive exams like CGL, CHSL, etc. Hence, candidates applying for the following posts can prepare for this exam easily along with other exams.
The common BIS syllabus applies to all the posts discussed above, except for the following conditions:
- The General Awareness section is not applicable to Assistant Directors.
- The Quantitative Aptitude section is not applicable to Assistants, Technical Assistants, and Senior Technicians.
- For these posts, all four sections are mandatory: Assistant Section Officer (ASO), Personal Assistant (PA), Stenographer, Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), and Senior Secretariat Assistant (SSA)
