BARC Selection Process 2023:
The Selection Process of BARC Recruitment 2023 includes the following Stages. The selection process varies according to the post as mentioned below.
Technical Officer/C Selection Process
The selection will be done on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the Interview. The board can restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview by conducting a Computer Based Screening Test.
Scientific Assistant/B and Category-I Stipendiary Trainee Selection Process
The candidates will be selected on the basis of a Computer Based Screening Test, of one-hour duration with 40 multi-choice questions, 3 marks for each question and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. The syllabus for the Computer Based Screening Test will be based on subjects at Diploma / B.Sc. level as the case may be. Those candidates qualifying in the Screening test shall be shortlisted for interview. The final selection will be done on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the interview and no weightage will be given to marks scored in the Screening Test.
Technician/B and Category-II Stipendiary Trainee Selection Process
The selection process of Technician/B and Category-II Stipendiary Trainee will be based on the following stages:
Stage 1 – Preliminary Test
- 3 marks for each right answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Stage 2 – Advanced Test
- The Test will comprise of 50 MCQs with 4 options for 2 hours duration.
- ‘3’ marks will be awarded for each correct answer and a ‘1’ mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Merit List of candidates will be prepared after Stage-2, based on the scores obtained in Stage-2
only.
Stage 3 – Skill Test
- The number of candidates shortlisted for the Skill Test will depend upon the number of candidates qualifying for Stage 2 but will not exceed 4 to 5 times the number of vacancies in each trade.
- The Skill Test will be based on Go/No-Go basis.
- Based upon the Merit List prepared after Stage 2 – Advanced Test, candidates will be shortlisted for Stage 3.
- Candidates clearing the Skill Test will be shortlisted and impaneled in order of Merit
based on the marks secured in Stage 2 – Advanced Test.
