IV. Job Description
Asset Management (AM) India Operations has a large presence and requires operations leadership/expertise in managing large teams in a matrix environment.
The primary responsibility of Performance Measurement is to works in conjunction with the offshore teams to produce performance & risk analytics. Additional responsibilities will include maintenance of production infrastructure and maintaining controls for any change to production of account settings. The role requires attention to detail, an awareness of the risks involved and an ability to work under pressure and strict adherence to deadlines.
Specific Responsibilities:
·Primary responsibility includes manage team s that will be responsible for Producing performance & risk analytics in conjunction with overseas partners
·Validate performance data at Total level, Asset class and Security level. Coordinate with Middle Office, US and EMEA performance team and with Technology to correct and amend problems within the system.
·Knowledge on the different Performance methodologies (Dietz, Modified Dietz, True time weighted) and Attribution analysis
·Assist US Performance team in the production of monthly dispersion analysis reporting.
·Participate in the monthly hedge fund portfolio performance reports
·Liaise with third party providers to consolidate index returns and characteristics
·Manage multiple financial analysis reporting deadlines with ability to analyze reports and a large amount of data.
·Develop, manage and analyze large databases of information with attention to detail. Ability to interface with various levels of management and operations
·Evaluate different types of performance on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis: Asset Summary, Cash Flow Analysis, Fee schedule, Interest Summary, Money Market daily balances, Portfolio Performance, Statement Summary, Income Summary, and others. Ability to produce and interpret results from internal and external clients. Ability to foresee and navigate team and business through upcoming issues.
·Manage deliverables while servicing all ad hoc queries and requests.
·Validating daily work in term s of index updates, total level and asset level checks, structure of account groups, hedge fund reports etc.
·Preparation of capacity & different metrics reports for the team and discussing it with the management.
·Driving the team towards process automation and high level synergy between the performance team s on either location
·Checking the KPI’s and constantly working on providing a robust KPI for the team.
·Checking the Risk & Control areas for the process and constantly updating & getting signoffs for the same from the onshore locations
Core Skill-sets
·Intellectual curiosity to evaluate portfolios (either Risk or Performance, depending on the role, ideally both).
·Experienced performance, composites and asset management experience
·A good understanding of performance measurement techniques & different investment products.
·Strong numeracy and statistical skills
·Leadership skills to drive discussions and lead the group
·Relationship building with diverse groups and senior executives.
·Have an affinity or ability for systems thinking.
·Expertise with MS Office tools such as Word,Excel,Powerpoint and Access
·Data presentation and interpretation skills.
·Control orientated and Risk awareness
·Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively respond to customer needs
·Strong analysis and problem solving skills required. Ability to facilitate and execute the analysis of data and technical issues
