Fluke IDC – Application Architect
Fluke is looking for an outstanding application architect to join our SaaS development team. In this role, you will collaborate with the scrum team to scope, plan and build features that drive our application forward. Your ability to lead the architecture, design and implementation of maintainable, high-quality and high-performing web applications is essential for success in this role. The web applications you will be working on will communicate with our portfolio of products to provide customers with powerful new capabilities that will have significant impact on their workflow and efficiency.
CURRENT DEVELOPMENT STACK
• Platform: Amazon EC2 Container Service (ECS), Docker
• Backend: Node.js, Redis, PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS
• Frontend: Angular 2+, Bootstrap, Redux, Sass
• Continuous Integration: Circle CI
• Monitoring: ELK, NewRelic, LogEntries
Responsibilities:
• Create a common understanding of solution concepts and architecture documentation and align delivery teams to be consistent with the target architecture.
• Work with different stakeholders in defining a holistic strategy for developer experience inclusive of API protocols, definition, documentation, management, deployment, discovery and canonical models.
• Shaping architecture for robust, reliable and high-performance applications, considering functional and technical requirements.
• Communicate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles to meet the team goals.
• Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for production issues.
• Take ownership of design for a product.
• Drive up code quality.
• Expert on latest technologies and techniques, the go to person for senior developers wanting technical advice. Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on technical architecture and software development experience.
• Strong understanding of software design principles (SOLID, design patterns etc.)
• Proven experience in building secure, scalable and resilient systems.
• Proven experience in working with AWS (preferably) or GCP or Azure.
• Strong understanding of SOA and enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong understanding of Functional or OOP patterns.
• Strong JavaScript background
• Strong understanding of database design.
• Strong understanding of REST principles.
• Agile Software Development experience with Kanban or Scrum.
• Positive team player attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience mentoring team members and/or leading teams
• Strong understanding of browser environments and cross-browser compatibility nuance
• Experience developing responsive mobile browser-based applications
