Summary Description:
Assist the Tax Compliance Manager in managing the Global Indirect Tax compliance process of Invesco. Prepare, analyse, reconcile, review and submit Indirect Tax returns in a compliant and cost effective manner. This role will also assist in monitoring the progress of the returns of other outsourced EMEA and AsiaPac countries.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Proactively review and analyse the procedures and develop best practice standards, providing high quality and timely Indirect Tax return services.
- Assist in implementing the return preparation process in line with the project transition plan.
- Full responsibility for preparation of specific country Indirect Tax Returns.
- Monitor Indirect Tax Return preparation process for outsourced countries
- Follow Indirect tax law changes, and, if necessary, implement the changes in the return preparation process
- Network with the local Tax Managers
- Support the Indirect tax audits (both internal and external) across the region
- Update process manuals, checklists and deadline listings.
Work Experience:
At least 2+ years of Indirect tax experience gained either in a professional firm, or multi-national company with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education/Training:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business is required with an emphasis in Accounting or Taxation preferred. Knowledge of Financial Services Industry preferred.
License/Registration/Certification:
Certified Public Accountancy or Charted Accountancy a plus.
