Job Description :
Client Insurance Management Services is currently recruiting for a part-time (20-25 hours per week) Accounting Assistant position in their captive management service team in Burlington, Vermont.
This position would help Account Executives manage their portfolio of insurance company clients. Duties would include preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules, bank and investment reconciliations, annual reports and miscellaneous office/ administrative projects. This position will be responsible for providing enough support to allow the Account Executives to be able to manage a larger portfolio of clients.
Performance Objectives:
- Routine Financial Reporting: Support the Account Executive providing consistent achievement of accurate reporting within specified due dates.
- Non-Routine Projects: Achievement of requested projects during the year that go beyond the routine financial reporting. This should include both working independently on projects and using available resources in an efficient way.
- Annual Regulatory Compliance: Support the Account Executive to ensure captives are in compliance with state regulatory requirements which includes filings for each client accurately and within specified deadlines with regulators.
- Relationships: Develop solid relationships internally with AEs, Managers and peers, and keep them informed at all times of client activities. In addition, begin building relationships with each client.
The Ideal Candidate Should Have:
- Achieving their Associates or bachelors degree in accounting, or related experience.
- Excellent organizational skills a must.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Previous experience working within a team environment in order to meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to make contributions on special projects as needed.
