Location : The Woodlands, TX
AWS Cloud Engineer
Introduction:
The ideal candidate shall have experience with administering, configuring, and securing AWS in a multi-account structure, particularly configuring Organizations, Service Control Policies, and Landing Zones.
Overview of the team and organization: The Specialized Cloud Team supports the platform our non-Azure clouds: Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, & Alibaba Cloud. Our team is responsible to ensuring the guardrails and security of the cloud platforms on which development teams build their applications.
Role: AWS Cloud Engineer
Required Skills:

    • 2+ years’ experience building and supporting large-scale, business critical systems on Amazon Web Services
    • Working knowledge of AWS Platform
    • Experience creating and administering IAM Roles, Policies, SSO, Service Control Policies, GaurdDuty, Config, Landing Zone, Organizations
    • Good understanding of cloud design considerations and limitations and its impact on pricing
    • Networking principles and protocols such as IP Subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, Load Balancer, Route 53, CloudFront, etc.
    • Proficient in a modern scripting language (NodeJS, Python) and version control system (CodeCommit) for automation of build tasks (CodePipeline)
    • Experience with infrastructure as code (CloudFormation)

Nice-to-have Skills:

    • Experience working on an Agile or SAFe team and using Azure DevOps to manage work backlog
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
    • Experience hosting and securing applications on AWS using EC2, Lambda functions, S3, RDS
    • Experience creating workflow and forms in ServiceNow to automate tasks or create tickets from AWS
    • Knowledge of Application Monitoring using CloudWatch
    • Unix/Linux power user

Responsibilities:

    • Provision and secure AWS accounts for use by application development teams
    • Provide consulting services to application development teams on how to administer, optimize, and secure their applications on the AWS public cloud
    • Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of the infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud.
    • Work with the architecture team to design and implement a cloud management solution to potentially span multiple CSP and private clouds
