AFCAT Eligibility 2023
AFCAT Eligibility 2023: AFCAT is conducted by Indian Air Force twice a year for the recruitment of candidates for Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches for male as well as female candidates. Before applying for the AFCAT 1 2023 Notification candidates must be aware of the AFCAT Eligibility 2023 as mentioned in the official notification.
AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2023
Interested candidates have to satisfy the AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2023 i.e. educational qualification and age limit to successfully appear for the AFCAT 1 2023. The candidates who fail to qualify for the eligibility mentioned in the official notification, won’t be able to appear for AFCAT 1. Air Force Common Admission Test
The full form of AFCAT is Air Force Common Admission Test. Indian Air Force conducts the AFCAT every year in February and August, to pick up Class-I Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical). Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for AFCAT.

Flying Branch | 12th with 50% Marks each in Physics and Math + 3 Year Degree in Graduation (with 60% marks) OR a BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 60% from a recognized university. |
Ground Duty Technical | 12th with 60% Marks each in Physics and a degree in graduation/post-graduation in the field of engineering and technology from a recognized university. |
AFCAT Eligibility 2023: Age Limit

Flying Branch | 20 to 24 years. The upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable for up to 26 years. |
Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches | 20 To 26 Years |
Note: Candidates below 25 years of age must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course. Widows/Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years of age are not eligible. |
AFCAT Eligibility 2023: Nationality & Marital Status
The eligibility for AFCAT for = nationality and marital status is given below:
- Candidates must be a citizen of India.
- Candidates must be below 25 years and should be unmarried.
- Widows/Widowers and divorcees (with or without encumbrances) below 25 years are also not eligible.
- Married candidates above 25 years can apply, but during the training period, they will not be provided separate accommodations for their spouses.
