Your Role and Responsibilities
As Linux System Administrator, you are responsible for performing installation, Configuration & operation, recovery and performance tuning in various flavors of Unix Servers.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As Linux System Administrator, you are responsible for performing installation, Configuration & operation, recovery and performance tuning in various flavors of Unix Servers.
Responsibilities:
- Must be knowing the patching life cycle on Redhat Operating systems.
- Must have working exposure on OS vulnerabilities and their remediations.
- Must be able to work on hardware upgradations, optimising the server resources, tuning the performance of the servers.
- Must be working on providing the Root cause analysis and fixing the repeated issues.
- Must have scripting skills to automate most of the daily activities of the administrators on servers.
- Must be knowing any central repository server setup and configurations ( Satellite server for Redhat, Mirror server for Oracle Linux, SUSE Manager for SUSE Linux )
- Must have issue analysing skills
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 8 plus years of total experience in IT Industry
- Added experience in Cluster, SUSE, and GPFS will be an advantage
- Proven experience in Installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning.
- Expertise to install, configure and upgrade device drivers along with capability to plan and execute Unix Security.
- Proficiency to configure High Availability Clustering environment, High Availability Storage Devices, High Availability Network Devices.
- Ability perform in a 24 x 7 Environment.
- Working knowledge of the fundamental concepts and technologies associated with Unix – HP Unix Operating Systems (Hardware, Software)
- Must able to handle servers on virtualization platforms like Vmware, Oracle Virtualization etc
- Must be knowing the TCP/IP, Active Directory or User authentication mechanism.
- Must be able to install and configure supporting softwares like Java, PHP, Python, MYsql, Postgresql Apache etc for applications.
- Must be able to handle file sharing services like NFS, SAMBA etc
- Must be having exposure to Cloud platforms like AWS, Openstack etc
- Must be able to create Technical Documents on cirtical issue fix and solutions to various user related issues.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proficient in working with high availability environment along with alignment to process (ITIL)
- Added experience in NFS,SAMBA, AWS and VMWARE will be an advantage
