IDC (India Development Center), is the R&D software development center of Beckman Coulter for India. It started in June 2014, has rapidly grown in less than 3 years to a strength of 300 associates and continues to grow at a good pace. It consists of several software teams, each associated with a multi-site team from a particular segment of Beckman Coulter that include Molecular Diagnostics, Chemistry, Immunoassay, Cloud and Data Analytics Solutions and more. IDC teams work closely with the R&D teams at other Beckman sites located in US, Japan, France and Germany. For close collaboration IDC associates travel across sites for project needs.
Leica Microsystems Medical division, develops digital microscopes with premium optics that deliver crisp, bright, and consistent visualization. Responsibilities

  • Generate test cases, conduct automated and manual tests and document test results in occurrence with quality guideline
  • Conduct test case review
  • Management of test coverage to ensure all requirements are adequately tested
  • Work with QA to ensure the team adheres to Quality management system
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of new issues to generate root cause identification and resolution
  • Drive continuous improvement of the job and activities by improving test coverage and efficiency
  • Ensure compliance to organizational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements such as FDA 21CFR820, ISO 13485, IEC62304

Skills/ Desired Characteristics

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information technology. 5 to 9 years of experience.
  • Experience in manual testing on device software/embedded software
  • Excellent documentation skills – test cases, defect reports, test execution reports
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good inter-personal and time management skills
  • Experience of working in an Agile environment, testing user stories
  • Interested in continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.
  • Self-starter with a sense of urgency to resolve issues and complete projects.
  • Experience of medical device quality standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and ISO 14971 is preferred
