Role Proficiency:
Experienced member of the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team with high levels of independence in planning and carrying out work within a framework guiding team members. Provide administrative and functional support for the Financial Planning and Analysis team. Lead the team in managing and handling the entire or specific Finance functions across the organization.
Outcomes:

  1. This role will supervise Associate Financial Analysts
  2. Manage the financials of the vertical/BU to enable the vertical/BU management to run the business and exceed financial goals
  3. Acquire exhibit and enhance working knowledge of the business and functional aspects of the processes being implemented
  4. Apply creative thinking while building contracts with customers
  5. Mentor team members on the standard operating procedures and be able to provide guidance
  6. Recognize and maintain confidential information
  7. Lead the team in managing and handling the entire or specific Finance function across the organization
  8. Provide support to business unit leadership in decision making in functional areas of Finance
  9. Enable the organization to solve problems flow of information and make decisions at the lowest level of responsibility
  10. Use knowledge of the business processes to analyse data and provide meaningful alerts for effective decision making
  11. Be actively visible and accessible to team members in an operating setting
  12. Lead financial planning functions across the organisation in support of goals and objectives
  13. Financial Modelling for target and budget setting- Forecasting
  14. Performs financial analysis for assigned programs with reporting
  15. Monitor program adherence to approved budgets and provide revenue and margin analysis
  16. Profitability analysis of ongoing programs
  17. Analyses financial data and market trends
  18. Assist the Accounting department with special projects as needed
  19. Identify risks or opportunities for revenues cost and profitability and propose appropriate actions

Outputs Expected:
Financial planning:

  1. Manage a specific business unit’s financial/strategic targets and make proactive decisions to meet/exceed the targets
  2. Review and approve purchase requisitions expense reports and P/L statements of the business unit. Review and approve financials of the business unit in terms of sales productivity non-billability implement corrective action
  3. Build analytical models to perform financial analysis
  4. Apply creative thinking while building contracts with customers
  5. Provide effective financial controls for the BUs and ensure compliance with corporate processes and procedures

Business and client Support:

  1. Mentor team members on the standard operating procedures and provide guidance
  2. Use knowledge of the business processes to analyse data and provide meaningful alerts for effective decision making
  3. Recognize and maintain confidential information
  4. Perform other duties as assigned or requested
  5. Lead the team in managing and handling the entire or specific Finance function across the organization
  6. Provides support to business unit leadership in decision making in functional areas of Finance
  7. Basic skills in thought leadership and domain knowledge in one or more areas of Finance specialization
  8. Control and monitor all departmental costs on a regular basis to ensure performance against budget
  9. Oversees internal external and regulatory audit processes
  10. Partner with internal finance leaders to develop a series of policies and procedures to drive efficiency for the organization
  11. Develop Key Performance Indicators and create management reports to ensure financial objectives are met
