About the role:
Supports laboratory customers and technical support staff by offering laboratory testing and services in laboratory areas (environmental, microbiological). In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality process and procedures. Responsible for ensuring that all testing is carried out in line with all quality system and regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities include:
. Provide routine laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures and specifications
. Interprets test results and examines for unusual characteristics, reporting findings to Senior Lab Staff
. Troubleshoots test and/or procedures, thus determining the potential cause of unexpected results of routine tests
. Assist with lab investigations
. Communicates with customers and appropriate Lab staff regarding testing schedule information, results, or unanticipated discoveries
. Assists with developing procedures, conducting validations, and writing technical reports
. Performs cleaning, preventative maintenance, verification of instruments and equipment where required
. Ensures lab equipment standards met and other materials are approved/released prior to use
. Schedules purchase of laboratory supplies
. Ensure all training is completed
. Administers the flow of test requests, from logging in through filing and archiving
. Perform and assist with additional duties as may be assigned by Supervisor
What we are looking for:
Minimum requirements:
. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
. Strong attention to detail
. Experience with Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
. 1-2 Years work experience as an Laboratory Technician within Quality Control environment in the Medical Device Industry desirable.
