Key responsibilities
This role is focused on transfer pricing matters in India across Maersk’s various businesses. Accordingly, the role is broad and allows exposure to all relevant transfer pricing-related areas, both on a project basis as well as in relation to recurring tasks and responsibilities.
The Transfer Pricing Manager will work with colleagues in the Transfer Pricing Team, the Tax Team and will interact with stakeholders in both Finance and Commercial roles in Maersk.
The role’s focus on transfer pricing compliance and documentation in India involves:
– Responsibility for organising transfer pricing documentation for Maersk’s activities in India
– Working with stakeholders in Maersk to structure information gathering and enable a solid foundation for preparation of India TP documentation
– Preparation of core documentation documents, including local files
– Engaging with outside advisors to prepare India TP documentation as well as other required transfer pricing compliance materials
The Transfer Pricing Manager will engage with Indian authorities with respect to transfer pricing related queries together with colleagues in Maersk’s Tax organisation. Interaction with authorities may be in the context of audits, APAs and general, ongoing dialogues around Maersk’s transfer pricing matters in India.
Projects are typically the result of either business, organisational or regulatory changes, which can impact TP processes within Maersk. The Transfer Pricing Manager will take on responsibilities related to transfer pricing related fact finding and analysis in these projects and may also be managing the project across several functions. Projects will typically impact transfer pricing areas in several ways, and therefore the Transfer Pricing Manager will be working across documentation and compliance, business model alignment, and operational transfer pricing in many projects.
The Transfer Pricing Manager will participate in both internal and external training, including training covering transfer pricing and tax fields, as well as broader training focused on Maersk commercial and financial understanding. While focusing on Indian transfer pricing requirements and rules, the role will offer broad and extensive opportunities for working on exciting and Global transfer pricing issues within an industry under significant change.
The Transfer Pricing Manager will report to the Head of Transfer Pricing
Primary job responsibilities:
– Responsibility for India transfer pricing documentation and related compliance
– Participation in dialogues with Indian transfer pricing authorities
– Take on transfer pricing roles in various projects, working with colleagues in the Tax, Finance and Commercial Teams
– Work across relevant areas of transfer pricing to ensure the right level of transfer pricing readiness and business partnering for all Maersk businesses in India.
We are looking for
. Preferably Qualified Chartered Accountant with relevant experience in transfer pricing matter and transfer pricing regulations
. Should have good knowledge of MS Office applications
. Candidate that shows speed and agility in understanding the business and correlate Transfer Pricing implications and benefits
. Skill set in analysing, planning and strategizing tax efficient business model
. Should have high drive for results, good analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
. An effective team and individual contributor with effective communication, analytical skills, team building and relationship management skills
. Versatile and capable of handling multiple assignments and delivering timely on the same
Experience:
Relevant experience of minimum 5 years
